Position Overview:
We are looking for a dependable AP/AR Coordinator to help manage our daily office accounts and records. This is a dual-focus role where you’ll be responsible for making sure payments and collections are made on time. The job requires someone who is comfortable with numbers, enjoys staying organized, and is ready to jump into the daily flow of our office. Whether you have experience in accounting or are looking to start a career in the field, we’re looking for someone who is sharp and pays close attention to the details.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoicing: Process and verify invoices to ensure all vendor payments are issued accurately and on time.
- Collections: Address outstanding balances and follow up with clients to ensure prompt collection of premiums.
- Payment Processing: Manage incoming checks from clients and process refund checks for vendors as needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized records and assist with basic account reconciliations.
- Communication: Professionally handle phone calls or emails regarding billing questions or payment status.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 1+ years in a similar role is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person if you have a strong work ethic, good with numbers, and a knack for organization.
- Detail-Oriented: You take pride in double-checking your work and catching small errors.
- Organized: You can manage multiple tasks without letting things fall through the cracks.
- Tech Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn our specific software. Experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Communication: A professional and friendly approach when talking to vendors and clients, both verbally and in writing.
